As a closing remark the ROUT Steering Committee feels the need to emphasize the jubilant aspect of this year's event. 2014 marks five years since the first edition of ROUT 100-mile, the first trail race over the 100 mile distance in Greece. ROUT in 2010 marked a new era for Greek mountain running, been the hallmark in the development of local trail running scene, going through a mutation to a true endurance and adventure race as this is aptly captured by the new name for the race, the Rodopi Advendurun.
The Steering Committee of ROUT took care to instill consistently until today the philosophy of a race not confined to the narrow limits of an organized racing event but provides athletes with the opportunity to experience an immersion to the pristine nature of Rodopi mountains. Today, with the experience of four previous editions, adventure transpires the Rodopi Advendurun and this spirit will prevail in all our future endeavors.
Our best to all,
The ROUT Steering Committee
